Following graduation I started to work in an organization dealing with protection of human rights of the asylum seekers, where I have worked on the provision of free legal assistance to refugees. Thanks to this experience I became aware of the complexity of their situation, but also over the difficulty of the international practice that regulate the legal institute of asylum. Nevertheless I have became more motivated and incented to provide personal contribution to the process of the protection of their basic rights on the global level, since they are heavily endangered and often violated.
Therefore I have decided to develop my future career in the area of International law, as seek my future employments in International organizations, such as United Nations, or International Court of Justice. I have vast experience in citizen activism, as I am member of several CSOs active on local and regional level. There I have gained some experience in advocacy, and took involvement in several campaigns. I have also drafted several policy documents and policy recommendations, which were submitted to the national government, all in the areas of human rights protection and civil law.
Opportunity to study at your University will allow me to get insight in international policies and practice, and establish ground to work on International Projects. It will also allow me to get the contacts and enable my future networking, with fellow colleagues.
