With this letter I hereby wish to state my interest and apply for Master Program in Communication Science. I am currently completing my bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Communication at the University of Maastricht. Since my focus has increasingly focused on communications, I would like to continue my studies at graduate program in Communications offered by prospective US University.
After substantial research, I am convinced that [UNIVERSITY NAME] gained international reputation for excellence in the field of communications in terms of career prospects for graduates. I especially liked your know-how in the new and social media communications. This I learned from available literature on the subject, since most prominent articles and books are being written by the Professors who teach at your University. In that line I perceive the opportunity to study here as the first step toward developing International career in the field of corporate communications.
Most of the companies nowadays are aware of increased impact of social media on the corporate image, however since the branch is still juvenile there are not many recognized experts, and the literature is still poor. Therefore there is still no novel approach toward corporate communications through social media. By studying this program, I hope to give my contribution toward development of science, as I endeavor to take part in the research projects implemented by your University.
I believe I can contribute to the program as I can convey international perspective, gained through several internships I done in big international companies in Europe (in London, Berlin, and Vienna). During my internship in London, I have joined corporate communications group, which gave me hands on experience and overview of complexities connected to corporate communications in Internet World.
I am open and flexible person, with strong enthusiasm for learning new things. I enjoy travelling and meeting new cultures. I also like sports, such as tennis and biking, and if being accepted to this program, I would appreciate to join your University sports teams.
